Celebration 2014 March 7, 2020

For many years we held an annual fundraiser that consisted of a day of Celebrating our good friends, members, and park.

Silent Auction in the Carriage Barn. Many one-of-a-kind items were offered at the Silent Auction again this year.
Amber Martin and Betty Marshall helped out at the food tent.
Because of the renovations last year, we could have exhibits in the barn. Upstairs the Silver Needles Quilt Club displayed dozens of quilts.
Downstairs George Cummings enlightened us about the Revolutionary War through his rifles and other artifacts.
Behind George was an exhibit of agricultural artifacts from the Friends' John F. McKeage Collection.
Outside Brian Swartz brought the Civil War to life at his campsite.
Vendors like Gail's Cupboard offered locally made products.
Exotic birds from the Feathered Kisses rescue center enjoyed the attention.
The Ross Park ZooMobile's critters were also a hit.
Most appreciated at the Celebration every year it seems is the opportunity just to be outside, somewhere beautiful and relaxing, catching up with friends, old and new.
John Gunn. Many local and regional musicians have joined us over the years.
