Wheaton House

The Friends established their office and the park welcome center here after it was renovated. It now has a modest gift shop and several rooms with historical and environmental interpretive displays featuring nineteenth-century rural life and regional wildlife.

The Wheaton House is open on weekends from May through September (9:30-4 on Saturdays and 12:30-4 on Sundays) or by appointment.

Contact us to schedule a tour of the historic homestead any time of the year.

Wheaton House
The oldest section of the Wheaton family farmhouse was built in the late 1830s by the first generation of Wheatons to settle in Franklin Township, headed by Nathan Philips (known as N.P.).
